How to prepare for NEET along with Class 12 board exam
The class 12 board exams have either already begun or are about to start soon in many states. This means that many students who are appearing for these exams have finished their preparation and are now focused on revising. However, they are faced with the dilemma of whether to continue their revision or shift their focus toward the upcoming NEET UG examination, which is scheduled to be held on May 7.
NEET UG is an entrance exam for medical colleges in India, and getting into these colleges requires a lot of effort and commitment. While the NEET exam requires full attention, it is important not to neglect the board exams, as they are equally important, if not more.
Preparing for both the board exams and NEET can be challenging for students, as both exams have an overlapping syllabus. However, the good news is that the NEET syllabus includes the NCERT curriculum for class 12. Therefore, the preparation for the board exams directly contributes to the NEET preparation for every candidate.
To prepare for both exams, it is important to focus on the overlapping topics in the syllabus, as studying these topics will help in making the most out of your time. Following a proper timetable and forcing yourself to strictly follow it is essential. Additionally, taking mock exams will help in increasing your speed while solving the question paper. Note-making is also important while preparing for any exam, as it helps in retaining information better.
It is important to avoid using different sources of study material, and instead, stick to a few preferred books, preferably NCERT, to master and tighten your grip on the important topics for both class 12 board exams and NEET 2023. Through proper and strategic planning along with hard work, students can achieve a good rank in NEET as well as a good percentage in the 12th class. While highly competitive examinations are a part of life, it is essential to overcome the pressure of achieving good grades/marks and balance between the board exams and the NEET examination.
